History of Col Crawford and Honda

During 1968, Col Crawford purchased a vacant block opposite his car yard but he was not quite sure how best to use it. Col contacted Bennett Honda the NSW Honda Distributor who convinced him that he should be a Honda Cycle Dealer. Col Crawford had never ridden a motor cycle in his life. Fortunately he went on to become one of the top selling motor cycle dealers in Australia.

Soon after distributing their cycles, Honda introduced their Scamp 360 and 500 motor cars to the burgeoning Australian market. Col Crawford snapped up the opportunity to become the first Australian dealer to sell the “new” Honda cars.
