MINI Bar Launches its socks off!

MINI Cocktail pour

Friday saw grey stormy skies and a slightly panicked MINI BAR crew. Although rain couldn’t stop us it was with delight that Sydney dawned bright and gave us a stunning day to launch a stunning space.

First up we had 40 odd MINI’s converge at Tania Park, Balgowlah – which had everyone wondering what was going on!  We were  only to happy to tell them they were off to the launch event of 2010! After a quick briefing ( thanks Paul) it was 3-2-1 start those MINI engines…..
The concourse wove through the back streets finally getting all the MINI’s to Wakehurst Parkway. News from back was that there was  a lot of gawping from passing cars as the MINI parade passed.
Getting ready for the MINI Bar concourse
Those of us left behind put the finishing touches to the MINI Bar – yes its true at 4pm we still had builders in! But we were so excitied when the whole troop of MINI’s rolled into the park – now the party can start! After loading the MINI drivers up with VIP showbags (yes including popcorn for the movie) we all settled down with a well earned drink to toast MINI Bar!
The bubbly tones of Dubbly started off the night, and kept a constant train of curious onlookers wondering what was happening – with a lot trying to get in – well done Charlie as diplomatic doorman. Chef Maro brought out MINI plate after MINI plate of delcious nibblies, with dressed Pimms to wash it all down.

Next thing we knew it was dark and time for the inaugral moonlight MINI drive-in cinema ! The very MINI “The Boat that Rocked” rocked with feedback from the front and back seats of the MINIs that it was it was a top choice, and when is the next one??? The party continued at MINI Bar, until the weary crew wilted happily around midnight…..
